We nearly over achieved by getting 4th.

Wasn't the target win the CL within 3 years?

We can't even qualify for it

Perhaps next season. We have the talent that's for sure, so no excuses really are there for not qualifying.

Next season to win it or to qualify for it?

We're behind schedule. Should've been in CL this season and maybe think about winning it next with more additions.

Had a great start to the season. Hopefully it ends with minimum target of top 4 and Europa League trophy.

It'll be tough and we've not yet shown in the arteta era we can handle tough situations but there's something about this season which has me hopeful. Maybe it's false hope. That's yet to be seen but it's better than last season where we all knew we'd f**k up and did.

Can't say that now

So has it gone up from 0% then?

We're pretty much on schedule by the way.

I do find it amazing how quiet this thread has been this season.
Are there so few becoming more positive now?

90%

The lack of a midfielder signing stops it being higher. That was a big risk imo.

Totally forgot about this thread, it must've gone off the front page.

End of last season - without looking back at what I actually posted - I would say was probably around 25-30%. Now I am up to 60% simply because the only team of note we played we lost to, but I took plenty of positives from that game so remain somewhat upbeat.

EDIT - I was at 15% at the end of last season according to my post, goes to show the pain of missing out on 4th place the way we did

0% until Top 4 is mathematically locked up, or we win Europa.

These are same basic requirements Emery was given 4 years ago, and are still yet to be fulfilled.

At £300m + spent under the current club structure, we should be able to able to do better than laughable participation trophies like 'youngest average squad'.

I'm not going to give a rating until I'm certain what direction this season is going in.

If I had to give a rating based on games so far I'd say 80% ........however, 7 games in means nothing for the season and I'd like to see us against more top opposition than just Utd to judge, but its positive so far.

When the January window is here we'll have a much better view of the season and how we're progressing, then I'll give a half season rating, then another at the end of the season.

Let's see what this end of season has to offer

I still can't believe people were using that as their argument for why Arteta was good. Clowns LOL.

Nothing has changed for me, 7 games really doesn’t prove anything.

Great start to the season but we all know things can change quickly in football.

It would be very fickle to judge a manager who has been here for a few years on 7 games this season.

The way I see it, we've had good runs before in the horrendous 2 and half years Arteta has been here

They meant little.

Failed to get our targets. Being behind schedule cos of it.

That's just the on the pitch stuff. Off the pitch we've all seen the transfer window f**k ups

So unless this is proven to be anything other just another blip of good form to the usual form we have seen under Arteta, it's staying at 0

 glass half empty comments above! It’s not just about our results this season, it’s about the performances. We are performing far and away better than 6 months ago.

I've said in other posts that this does feel different. Maybe it's the better performances whereas in other similar runs in the past couple of years we'd play shit but get away with it

Not this one though

Long may it continue.

Still 0 though

It feels different. It looks different. But consistency is the key. If we hold this form through October’s gauntlet, then we may have something real.
