No no, a draw away to Burnley is a good result for Arsenal.

Fixed that for you - in case for some odd reason you think you're in some sort of elite group of people who want us to be successful.

Yeah, It's much easier to just want unrealistic things and act surprised when they don't come true. As long as you're negative and shitting on the club you can pretend you're smart and above everyone else.

What I want is to let Arteta build up this new generation into a side that can bring us back regular CL football and eventually challenge for the title. As long as he's making progress (top 6 is better than top 8) there is no reason to derail his project.

What you want is for the club to be reactionary like the fans, sack Arteta and waste 70 mil on some striker who doesn't even fit us, then cry when he ends up being deadwood like Pepe.

Suddenly the club is back in turmoil, we're back to midtable and you have to get rid of the entire coaching staff + disillusioned players, and the new manager has an entirely different philosophy and player type in mind so you're starting back from scratch. There's absolutely zero sense of direction, everyone is out of confidence, and we end up sliding even further.

We have the youngest squad in the league and ever since Auba has been dropped we've been the better side in almost every single game. The results have been shit but the team is filled with test tube babies and we lack a natural finisher. Get over yourself and your need for instant gratification and let's see where this project goes.

So basically what we had from 2004-2016. Why then bother with a new manager and all this expense and upheaval. Makes no sense.

What?

You're comparing Wenger, a 70 year old with a team in decline who had 20+ years at this club and 10 years of experience before it, to Arteta, a compete rookie with only one full season under his belt?

Are you high?

You must have just started following the club. Probably missed the decade where we tried exactly what you’re suggesting and failed. You see sunshine you don’t get five years to build a title winning team. Why? Cause the world doesn’t stand still letting you do it. Our young players will get poached with offers from clubs that are ready to win today.

We weren't doing that with Wenger at all.

Wenger was trying to work with scraps to pay off the stadium debt and stay afloat. We kept losing star players because we couldn't afford to compete with the wages the likes of Chelsea and United and City could offer. Nothing to do with the current situation at Arsenal.

Just look at Tottenham. Kane popped off back in 14/15. It's 2022 and they've won f**k all since then. He's still at the club. So are Son and Lloris, and Dele Alli who used to be a huge star. Why? Because they had the money and could offer them lucrative contracts.

Same with United. They haven't won a PL/CL trophy since 2013 and yet they've largely held on to all their stars, and could even attract Ronaldo to come back this summer.

Arsenal is no different. For better or worse (It's worse), we managed to tie Aubameyang to a new contract when he was at his absolute peak, even though we finished 8th. Wenger in the early Emirates era would've shipped him out and brought some Eredivisie striker in as replacement.

Besides, all the young players can't shut up about Arteta and we can't go a week without one of them showering him with praise, in fact, maybe a bit too much. But the point is they all seem to love him, and they all believe they're building towards being a side that's going to contend for the PL so It seems like you're projecting your negativity on them.

So If you want to move on to supporting some other club because of Arteta and the lack of instant gratification, knock yourself out, but don't rope our players into that. It's pretty clear they're happy where they are.

Mine didn’t work out. But replace “won the league” with “qualified for CL,” and we would have an accurate prediction.

Didnt make a prediction season gone, i will make this one next season Arteta will be on a tight rope should he be given funds to make signings in the summer. Should Arteta not be prepared and start poorly again i thing he may be gone before the half way mark of the season. I will make a possition prediction once the window is over
