He was very good but we haven’t really missed him.

I don't think they score either goal yesterday if Tomi was there, too solid on the right.

Agreed on first goal
First goal ultimately was a mistake by Ramsdale, but Jota should have been covered. I have no idea why Cedric was so wide, covering the wider player. Should have been further inside.

Second goal not so much - it was an outrageous bit of luck for Liverpool. 99/100 that clearance by Saka goes out of play, but it bounced perfectly for their wide player to run into it. Perfect position and perfect weight. The danger came from Gabriel initially making a mistake in trying to hang on to the ball in the penalty area.

They were targeting Cedric in the second half and both goals came down there. Also tons of balls over the top. Tomi clears all those, Cedric is too tiny and gets caught out easily. Tomi is a better passer and more intelligent in his positioning.

We've missed this guy quite a bit.

Turning out to be Ryo Miyachi and Junichi Inamoto mkII. Memorable once upon a time but forgotten when it’s all over.

Tomiyasu has the potential to be mentioned alongside other arsenal legends for that RB position but that won’t happen if he isn’t playing consistently

A real shame he has been out for so long.
We can only hope he is fit for the rest of the run in, but it's not looking good.
Having both starting FBs out is a major issue - both Tomi and Tierney are good and forming a 3 at the back when one of the other FB's is forward.
Neither Tavares or Cedric are good at that.

Yup. He's done well when he's played but if he's always injured then get rid

Half a good season enough to consider him a success?

We need a solid backup RB that can fill in for him when he is inevitably injured. If Ben White can alternate between RCB and RB, with Saliba as central CB, that might provide enough cover.

We actually have Maitland Miles, who is decent as a back up, but it looks like he doesn't get along with Arteta.

Norton-cuffy should be promoted

I'd be delighted to see an academy graduate play for us instead of yet another €15-20m gamble
