He's a really good player. Solid, dependable and good technical skill as seen from the assist today.

Just watching highlights - feel like he got away with a penalty for handball.

No Bellerin 2014-2017 was immense, would have been part of a title winning team if Giroud wasn’t so crap and Cazorla didn’t get injured

Don't agree.
Bellerin was an awful defender from the start.
He left huge spaces in behind and was terrible at closing down wide players.
Where he excelled was in going forward... but overall he was very much part of a poor defence.

........... this is why we wanted Bellerin gone.

Too many of our fans act like groupies, all this loyalty even when the player obviously isn't fully committed anymore.

Tomi is exactly what we need at RB.

Me too, defender first and very hard for the winger to beat.

Shame his hair is shit by comparison.

Just so delighted to gave a proper RB for the first time in years - the dross we have been through over the last few years is staggering.

Not disagreeing that he’s currently an upgrade on Bellerin who has been poor for the last few years, just that for me between 2014-2017 Bellerin was a different level

A mate of mine who was a sports science guy who played to quite a high standard once said about Wenger's Arsenal that we were too unbalanced. He went through the starting XI and asked of each 'is his first thought to attack or defend?'. Basically the answer for everyone bar the CBs was 'attack'.

That is the difference between Bellerin and Tomiyasu. Bellerin was more of a wing back where is Tomiyasu is an actual defender.

ALL of Arsenal’s back four won 100% of their ground duels vs West Ham:

Takehiro Tomiyasu (5/5)
Kieran Tierney (3/3)
Ben White (2/2)
Gabriel (2/2)

Our Samurai had a great game, as did the rest of the back 4. It's finally good to see one of our Japanese attempts succeed.
