That they are just above average ( like us) and not extraordinary has been proven in CL and again today at Carabo.

Please stop embarrassing yourself. They will have two PLs and a CL while we are sitting trusting the process. Get over yourself they are levels ahead of us.

I actually agree but ultimately what wins you any league is being the best flat track bully. There can be no doubt they have been exactly that.

Good for Toon. deserved winners.
If onnly we had a striker in the semi-final to finish those 40 shots on goal over both games. Oh but Arteta IN. He made us RELEVANT again....

Liverpool under Klopp played better football and were more potent than this side under Slot. but it would be excellent for themand him to win theleague in their first season. No way they bottle it from here. If anything, it should energise them to win the league.

I know he just scored, but is Merino up top really better than a pacey forward line comprised of Martinelli - Trossard - Nwaneri ?

What's there to be embarrassed? I'm talking about the current season. In my opinion, they're not that good of a team and flatters to deceive.
Of course 5-6 seasons ago Klopp built a very good team ,and the results proved that.
Whatever has happened to Arsenal has no bearing here. We have a decent team badly hit by injuries and victim of poor off

Mate, we are 12 points off Liverpool. Do you know who is 12 points off us? Eighth place Fulham. It’s like Fulham fans saying Arsenal aren’t much better than us. Wake up.

He is right Swipey, Liverpool have been very lucky in general (they lose/drop points and we act like dumbasses and drop points too)!

He didn't score because he was in the CF position, I thought the goal was from a corner?!

In that case I would say no.

Its been bloody awful

Think about this season.

Liverpool - decent but lucky
Arsenal - hit n miss
Man City - poor
Chelsea - hit n miss
Man U - fooking terrible
Spurs - poor.

When was the last time there wasnt a single team that was very good for the season ?!

But we are 12 points behind them. you think that’s a difference because of luck? Fulham and villa who are in eighth and ninth are 12 points behind us. Do they think we’ve been lucky?

Its simple imho....we had ONE player that was saving us week in and week out and when he picked up his injury, we were fcuked.

And so it proved!

Well, that's even more troubling. If we had/have one player who is saving us after spending £700m (and inheriting that player alongside two other present first-team regulars), who do we point at for this situation?

It's also interesting to note that the last time the league was as open as this season was back in 15/16. Prior to that, it was 10/11. Both seasons we capitulated and blew our chance to win the whole thing.

There's one constant in all of this of course, so you can take that as you wish.
