Definitely in the Manager Has Final Say camp. After all, who's facing the Put Yer Shit In The Black Sack, Yer OUT Get To The Taxi Before The Dogs Eat Ya scenario first? Manager or Sporting Director (Whatever name is given to the guy who oversees transfers etc)?

Edu's job is presenting Arteta with A) Who's available to sign and B) Who's likely to say Yes. After that, it's on Arteta's head who's approached. He doesn't need to get into the nitty-gritty of money etc, but he should know if he's getting who he wants and if not, the alternative/s.

So Arsenal's apparant inaction in this Transfer Window could be anything from "I'm Mikel and let me show you this trick of me sitting on my hands over the whole Transfer Window" to "Well, I asked Edu to get me so-and so, we tried, we couldn't so...And we tried with other players and Edu tried and we couldn't so...." Given our injury situation I'm leaning towards the second scenario.

And I don't see either of them turning up to a press conference rocking their best George Micheal impersonation and carrying a guitar and doing a certain song...

Dec 2019 - why the f is KSE hiring him, just cos he was Pep's assistant??
FA Cup Final 2020 - fair play, you've won a trophy, so what more you've got!
20/21 - not very good! 15th at one stage, limped out to Villareal in EL semi!!
21/22 - an improvement, but bottled top four to SPURS
22/23 - bottled the title, but some excellent football. just win a trophy.
23/24 - fumbled at home to Villa, flopped against Bayern in CL QF. just win a trophy.
24/25 - bottled LC semi to Newcastle, behind Liverpool. WIN A TROPHY. If not, LEAVE!!

The biggest skill gap with Arteta has always been psychology. He still thinks trophies are won and lost on a whiteboard of tactics and pass maps.
