he's being hyped up to become something he just isn't. I still see him as a future captain, but as a versatile leader.
He's not a killer attacker like some seem to think he will become.

no not a killer at all. he IS GOOD.

SOMEtimes even VERY good.

Martinelli seems to have surpassed him and is more consistently a threat.

Great kid. Easy to root for.

With him not having to carry us as much, this would be a great opportunity to finally use him a bit more sparingly. He has the WC coming up, if by any chance he misses it through injury, I worry he won't be the same player morale-wise when he returns.

He might be rotated with Vieira and ESR. We have forwards now who can fit in different attacking roles.

For a while, Saka was the crux of our offense. Whatever he could create with Odegaard or ESR or Martinelli was our best and usually only method of scoring. I dont think he’s taken a step back, it appears everyone else has risen to his level.

The chemistry between our attacking front is starting to blossom. Wouldnt be surprised if he bags a few assists over the next couple of games.

Love this kid. I just wish Arteta would give Pepe some games when Saka has games like this..
Odegaard and Saka havent started the season as well as the others, and then you look at the bench, and I just think 'Why are you not giving ESR and Pepe a chance, even if its for 30 minutes'.

Then I look at our bench, and see who is sitting there making the calls. And it all dawns on me again; we have the worst manager.

Saka seemed a bit in the shadows lately, because the ball is hogged by Jesus, Martinelli, Zinny on the left side. Attacking equilibrium!! Potent from all sides!! Is a very good thing.

Odegaard and Saka don't have the same sort of chemistry down that right. Saka and ESR work a lot better together. You can see it in the way play one twos and flock the ball to each other.

I've noticed on a few separate occasions that Ode tends to pass to Saka and then cover the space behind Saka which leaves Saka with a lot more work in front of him.

But Saka and Odegaard have played lot more together than ESR. So, I don't think understanding is the issue. It is just Ode and Saka have had less possession of late than what they are used to.
The balls upfield are overwhelming dominated by our lefties( Z, M and J) in last two games.

Saka and ESR played a lot together at youth level and you can see the chemistry when they're close together. I never see that same sort of connection with Odegaard. It's not just this season, I'm talking about last season as well.

I agree with PNG, its one of the fundamental differences between Odegaard and ESR's game. ESR will look to run forward, Odegaard will look to run sideways or behind.

Arteta is pushing him to get it to the next level...

Also, acquiring Marquinos and deciding NOT TO LOAN him... we're gonna see Marquinos
