Thought he had a decent preseason. He seems much more adept as an 8 than in Partey’s role. Intrigued by the potential here.

I have absolutely no faith in this player.

He did virtually fk all last season. He's painful to watch

Major improvement needed or he needs to go

Lokonga allowed to leave
Tavares gone
Tomiyasu injury prone
White a 50m CB shifted to right back

This is our be legacy from the infamous 21 summer window

Even the other 2, odegaard and Ramsdale are hardly world beaters

Be interesting if there are any further rumours regarding this from more reliable sources.

If its sell Sambi then we get Tielemans then sell immediately.

I think we can use him for Europa group stage. Let's see what his options look like in Jan.

Agreed. I want to see him get real minutes in Europa and EFL cup games unless there's a loan destination out there where he'd be an automatic starter.

I'd really like to see him go to Ligue 1 for a season, reckon he'd be great in that league.

My issue with him is presence.

Onana on the other hand, I think we fked up there, we'll find out but Everton got him for £33m, I think we could of nabbed him for £29m because the player would of rather come to us.

Be interesting to see how he does.

Yeah, I wanted Onana. Him 6 and Lokonga 8 could have become our long term midfield pair too. There must be a reason we and West Ham both didn't want him though.

I keep thinking back to Edu talking about a Dortmund player he didn't sign and remembering that when we don't sign players who appear to be what we need.

I really want another beast next to Partey. I worry Tielemans lacks that physical presence too.

Kristof Teueur, who's tier 1 for Belgian players who play in England, mentions in his article that West Ham matched Everton's €40m bid, but that the player himself was more attracted to Everton's project. (Presumably because Onana feels he has a better chance of breaking into the first team there.)

I already read the article in a West Ham associated media outlet who said Onana wanted West Ham but Moyes refused to guarantee a first team spot where as Everton said he'll be a starter ......... both teams offered £33m.
