He made some clumsy decisions in that compilation. He runs inside from the left and often loses possession.

Over reliant on his physicality imo. Think the loan will be good for him. Could become an excellent wing back imo.

Not yet. We refused to give Atalanta an obligation to buy. That should mean something.

Let’s examine this situation a bit closely.
Tavares turns 23 in Jan.
He’s been playing senior football for two seasons.
Yet we don’t think he’s good enough for us so we send him on a season long loan to marseille.
What are Marseille going to do that changes his trajectory?
Let’s assume they do turn him into a better player.
He returns next summer with two years left on his contract.
Does he resign with us or agitate to leave cheaply?
Seems very similar to the Saliba situation.

I think the difference is Saliba was highly rated when we bought him, Tavares wasn't. Tavares was also a backup at the club we bought him from.

Nuno needs not only games but coaching, I think Saliba only needed games to develop.

We paid ~£8m for Tavares.

Should be able to recoup that easily if he does well at Marseille and we decide to let him go.

He's 22 and on cheap wages. Getting a full season of first team football plus CL experience can't do him any harm.

Edu himself sanctioned the move because Marseille haven't bullied him the way Serie A clubs have.

He can't do anything about Guendouzi's shit valuation, that happened because the manager went public with his dislike of the player. Tavares was hand picked however.

He doesn't have a weak foot, thats one of the pros about his game (probably the only one)

He is not 2-footed, so he does have a weaker foot. He is a leftie that kicks occasionally with his right foot (swinger), that doesn't make him both footed.

Lallana, Tomiyasu, Helb, Cazorla, they are both footed players with no discernible weaker foot.

If we are not being Pedantic, Point is he can switch foot and switch the ball to the otherside, we seen that first hand so yeah, hes got a good right foot, to be able to do a switch with power and percision, so hes comfortable either foot.

Hes easily as 2 footed as Tomiyasu, maybe more so.
