Two 25 year old Brazilian forwards move to North London clubs in the same week. This thread is to monitor which one is the best.

How have we not announced Jesus yet.

The club need to improve their timings. Not that it matters, but it does sap some of the positivity around unveiling new signings.

It depends more on the players around them. Richarlison has the upper hand here

Is Richarlison really a forward? In my mind, Jesus is a wing forward but Richarlison is not really a forward at all

Not that Ive paid much attention to Everton tactics

Thought he was CF for everton last season, he played there vs us in December:

Jesus is the better forward, doesn't miss as many sitters and is more consistent.

Richarlison has that air of maverickness about him which means he can be sublime and the next moment be absolutely dreadful. He is too hit n miss, too inconsistent, but he has the ability to score a goal from nothing, Jesus lacks that ability or at least, we have not seen it yet.

Jesus for me all round has slight more quality and used to competing at a higher level.

Richarlison has his moments and could bump up a level but yeah no, as they are now, Jesus.

Jesus for 45m or Richarlison for 60m it’s a no contest.

Spurs wasted half their CL money on the difference

He rotates a roles a lot. Sometimes on the wing and sometimes CF. In fact, his goal record is better from the wings.

Across his career 101 games as CF but only 26 goals.
As LWF 96 games, 34 goals.

Last season he played more as a CF. From 25 games only 6 goals. As LWF, 7 games, 5 goals.

Season before that...

CF - 16 games, 4 goals.
LWF - 18 games, 8 goals.

I would prefer Jesus. If we're fussing over Gabriel Jesus' statsz this should be a concern.if he continues like this as Spurs, no regrets and I'm not worried.

Not worth comparing - Richarlison is a BACK UP for arguably the best front three in the second half of last season, certainly in the top three striking trios - Jesus comes as the CF to a side that creates less than half the chances those other clubs do in the EPL.

The ONLY comparison is which front three/four will score the most together - remember Pukki outscored lots of EPL players last season - including Jesus and Richarlison, his club got relegated.

Considering how long the thread on Jesus and his goals/stats has been going on, this puts some things into perspective.

Spurs wanted Jesus but we managed to get him despite no CL football.

He wanted to join Arteta's project.

Said nobody ever - Spurs wanted a back-up striker - Jesus wanted a guaranteed starting position. That says volumes about the difference between the two squads striking options right now.

Jesus would have been a bit part player at Spurs just as he was at City, he will start every game for us. That makes him a very good signing for us but don't kid yourself that he choose Arteta's project over Conte ... he just wants to play football.
