Lokonga was where we messed up. Imagine if we had Ruben Neves instead of him.

A very 'Wenger' signing. A player for the future when we needed a player for now.

100%

Bissouma, Neves, any CM who could of helped propel us forward.

Lokonga as you say looks like a maybe for 2-3 years time.

Arteta is trying to go for the Ajax model ......... well Ajax don't play in the Premier league with the likes of aggressive teams like City, Liverpool etc.

Lokonga not good enough
Tavares not good enough
White has been ok by has an error in him and against decent teams gets shown up
Odegaard has been decent though does go missing in some games
Tomiyasu has done decently but has been injured quite a while now
Ramsdale has been great although his form has dipped a bit

Yup

What we all feared has come to pass

Shocking summer window followed by an even worse January one

January was unforgivable, getting rid of loads of players including our best striker and signing no one.

So coming to the end of the season, we can properly assess the transfer window.

Ramsdale - very good overall good signing 9/10
White - Decent at time but prone to some lapses, not worth 50 million and defence has been leaking goals in recent times - 6/10
Tomiyasu - Good but injury prone 7/10
Odegaard - Ok but went missing when we needed him most 6/10
Lokonga - So far hasn’t been good enough 4/10
Tavares - Been pretty bad overall 2/10

Overall Probably rate the window a 6/10.

Tavares was our worst signing last summer. Everyone knew Tierney's injury problems, and it would have stood to reason to either replace him or at the very least bring in an experienced back up player. Instead, we took a gamble on an inexperienced player who, unsurprisingly, wasn't ready.

Inability to conduct risk analysis as simple as this is mind boggling. These kind of predictably awful decisions are symptomatic of a club that doesn't really have any greater ambitions than chugging along and generating profit with minimal effort.

My ratings

Ramsdale - 9/10
White - 9/10 - I am not going to mark him down based on recent performances, he is back from injury and I suspect he isn't even fully fit.
Tomiyasu - 8/10 ...... but his injury proneness drops him down to 6/10
Odegaard - 6/10
Lokonga - 4/10
Tavares - 4/10

Overall window - 6/10

It was a poor window. Thought it at the time. It's come to pass.

Not with our starting back 5 we didn't.
They were excellent.

It's like discussing football with a 12 year old. Just yeahbuts and excuses all the time. If they need the perfect line up to do well, then they're not really good enough because no team ever keeps its first choice XI for long
