I know he won’t want to come either but what’s the difference?

There’s also Martinez at Inter.

They have standards, and unfortunately the uncomfortable truth is we're below those standards.

To think we've dropped so low that we can't even bribe a 21 yr old ST who plays at Fiorentina to come here ffs.

They all are probably unified in the building process.
I believe unless we hit a major snag and get into relegation scrap, Arteta will stay at least for the duration of his contract.
A bitter pill to swallow for Arteta haters but that's the reality.

That is the reality unfortunately and similar to the last days of Wenger, there will be a quiet acceptance and air of apathy around the club if things don't improve. Fans just start to slowly disengage. You can see it around the stadium with fans leaving early and then it just leads to empty seats. You can already see it here on the forum. Disengagement and a slow decline in activity.

If Arteta gets 4th then you can forget about a new guy coming in anytime soon.

American owners only care about making money via getting into the CL. They aren't here to compete and win the things like the oil owners.

So as long as Arteta keeps getting CL football or even getting close to it he'll have hit his KPI.

Fans were booing at the Emirates after Burnley. The fans have always made their voice heard. They definitely didn't let Wenger off the hook, and Arteta doesn't have anywhere near the goodwill that he did.

If we can't beat the Top4 and also can't get 3pts against the likes of Burnley, we aren't making CL.

Liverpool for example and City don't need one, nor does Utd because their formation doesn't call for a stand alone isolated CF, they have runners.

In all honesty outside of a Vlahovic or a Haaland the best type of striker we need that operates in the prem is a Lukaku or Harry Kane.

That's exactly the profile striker we need, personally if this was klopp he would of had a front 3 of Auba / Laca / Pepe and imo it would of been happy days for a good while, but because of Arteta's weird obsession with 4-2-3-1 we're stuck looking at lamp posts for strikers.

............ taking us right back to the Giroud days fml.

We had Auba Laca and Pepe for a while.
Didn’t turn out so good.

Not playing in that 4-3-3 system we didn't ............ and we were doing better than this, that I can tell you.

Auba didn't score 20+ goals from nowhere and Pepe / Laca used to get a few as well.

We haven't scored in 5 games mush.

DiamondGooner is bang on! Our system under Arteta is the problem for our strikers. Kane would be the perfect striker for Arteta ball. Unfortunately, we can't get him and there are very few strikers in the world anything like him.
Wenger ball would have suited Saka, ESR, Laca, Auba, Pepe but we'd still be complaining about being weak in defence
Invincibility lies in the defence; the possibility of victory in the attack.

Some will tell you that a draw with Burnley was acceptable and that fans are happy with Arteta’s performance.

1st is was getting ass kicked in 1st KO round of UCL for, then getting bounced at EL final, rnd of 32, the EL semis, then not even making the EL....

we snagged a few FA cups which is a bit of consolation but... we're solidly among Europe's B teams and are such low hanging fruit that we don't really even count as a scalp for lower teams.

Wenger always said you need champions league to attract the best players. He was so right.

Just develop Azeez and reintegrate Auba and call it a day on new signings.

There has to be a plan, surely?! :dontknow:

I'm assuming they have back up plans lined up for deadline day (DCL and Arthur) and are persuing better options first.

I hope they have a backup plan, and not just bringing some pubber from Oxford united and big him up as the next big thing since sliced bread. :sneaky2:
