With Guendouzi it's simple - he was neither good enough or deemed to have the right attitude to be part of our squad. No need for an apology. He can either get better on the pitch and stop his shit talk or he can f**k off. No loss to us if he does as I doubt he'll ever be good enough for a top 4 team in the PL.
I know the boring Arteta haters like to make out Guendouzi is as good as Busquets in his prime, but he really isn't, he's bang average and not really worth the drama. The ONLY reason he (and Saliba) have 100 pages plus of conversation is because Arteta didn't think the players were good enough for Arsenal. It's just another expression of 'Arteta bad' whining.
What did he do wrong other than fight with an opposition player during a game? I’m not buying the he wasn’t good enough argument because he made 57 appearances in two seasons. So what great crime did he commit that he be banished from the club? I’m sincerely asking.
How did we do with him in midfield?
Our back line was constantly exposed.
I remember him having a couple of decent months in a team going nowhere, but largely being fairly irrelevant.
In those 57 league appearances he scored 0 goals and had 1 assist, wasn't a particularly prolific ball winner either.
What did he do wrong? Apart from being not good enough, his off field issues that led to him becoming a black sheep at the club are not really relevant. There are reports of fist fights with his own players in Dubai, a massive row with Arteta, taunting other professional players because he earned more money than them.
Who knows what really happened and who cares? He's gone. He may come back he may not. Meh... would be disappointed if our future included this guy in midfield. Hardly inspiring.
