2017-18. Played 10, Won 1, Drew 3, Lost 6
2018-19. Played 10, Won 3, Drew 3, Lost 4
2019-20. Played 10, Won 2, Drew 3, Lost 5
2020-21. Played 10, Won 3, Drew 1, Lost 6.
This season so far, Played 4, Won 1, Lost 3.
So?
Seems like an improvement over 17/18 and I daresay better than we were doing than under many of Wenger's final years.
Irrelevant , though. The league has 20 teams in it and there are 108 points to play for, not 30.
To make it a bit clearer, if we lost 10-0 to Liverpool twice, but finished above them in the league, WE would be the superior team.
Arteta did worst in his first full season than Emery did in his first full season. Your extreme argument to make your point is hot air.
So what if we won 3 and drew 1 instead of winning 3 and and drawing 3 under Emery?
That is a difference of 2 points.
There are 28 other games in the season to win points.
I don't care about 2 seasons ago or last season TBH.
THIS season we are level on points with 4th place and have continued the improved from we showed from Dec 2020.
Losing to Liverpool, City and Chelsea has not changed the fact that we are currently doing pretty well in the league.
We have a real shot of top 4 this season.
Let go of things that are already in the past.
The fact is that Arteta' position is secure because he is doing well and his summer signings have been superb (bar Odegaard).
You just sound as if you are bitter that Arteta is still the manager regardless of how is doing, trying to put a downer on things by focusing too much on the bad (exclusively in fact).
You went all in on Arteta out and refused to budge when things started going well. Honestly Arteta is making you look a bit foolish.
