Its dreadful. And as Swipey said, its not the first time we culled the squad and we saw no improvement afterwards.

The players are not the main problem, its the manager. It was under Wenger, it was under Emery and it is under Arteta

If I were to buy an attacking midfielder it would be Grealish. Versatile enough to play across the width of the pitch, can drop deep and carry the ball when needed, superb final ball and would not block the development of Saka and ESR. He’d be worth 50-60 mil.

I think spending 110 million on Maddison and White would be very poor spending, we need to be much smarter with our spending.

That’s the trouble though, Arteta doesn’t have a clue, look at the players we’re after.

I’d rather we spent nothing and kept it for the next manager than waste all that money on players we’re going to be lumbered with who will be worth half as much in a year or two and we won’t be able to get rid of.

Yeah Grealish is good, won’t come here though, the club has no ambition and there’s much better clubs interested.

It would be different if we could sell him the dream of what we’re try to achieve, don’t think nightmares appeal to players though!

Hard to disagree, two 8th places and now Europe and a club who’ve gone from the top to midtable isn’t indicative of a club with ambition, neither is stay away owners who know nothing about football and allow a rookie who’s failed to carry on.

It is different, Emi left because he didn't want to play second fiddle to Leno, Buendia allegedly chose Villa over us because we are not going anywhere. How are the 2 even remotely the same Ozim?

It’s the same because we in the end both wanted to go to Villa and didn’t want to be at Arsenal, Martinez because of Arteta and Buendia also because of Arteta.

The manager is costing us more than defeats on the pitch, we’re losing off it as well.

Huh ???

So why not just look at the end result for everything and come to a black and white conclusion that everything is the same !! It doesn't work like that. The 2 situations are entirely different. People are entirely different - but you could oversimplify them and say all humans are the same because they have a heart and lungs, all mammals are the same, all flowers are the same, all cars are the same ........

Rather than spending £50m on Ben White, why not just go all out and bid £75m for Grealish?

We don't even need a CB ffs. And, here we are, trying to spend £50m on a CB that Brighton fans themselves consider their third best option.

Villa might accept that offer, but Grealish won't.

He's helped them go from near-relegation last season to within 2 points of Arsenal. It would be a lateral move for him at best.

He’s been winking at us all summer on social media. His lips say no, but his eyes say yes.

So while Chelsea are signing Haaland we're signing .................??

All quiet and with only sht names to consider.

So far its not looking good, I know its early but we haven't even got the pull to get the crapper players signed like Neves, we look like we've completey stalled.
