I realised a while ago that we are in a time frame where people have become so used to exaggerating everything for a laugh that they started to behave like the exaggeration is the norm.
Instead of accepting an alternative argument, people tend to now add more bullshit onto their own point of view to rationalise and maintain that they are right / everything is as they see it (refer to trump supporters / evangelicals / most spurs fans).
f***ing nail on the head right there, and this happens in all parts of life with some people. It's so frustrating!!
Yeah.
In Unai's defense, Pep didn't win the UCL with Bayern and hasn't won it with City. Last season, Monaco knocked City out. This season it was Liverpool. PSG were knocked out by Barca and Real.
Wenger was speaking about this in his interview. He said something like if you base everything on winning the UCL and deem everything else as a failure, it's never going to be enough. When winning a domestic quadruple isn't enough, you know you're in an impossible job.

Settle down.
These mushroom clubs like PSG, City, and Chelsea especially suffer from this complex. For Chelsea too, the UCL was everything. It was an obsession. Same for PSG today. City seem to be sane in that department. They want to win it but they're not going full mental like PSG are and Chelsea did for a while.
Let's look at the UCL winning managers from 10/11 season:
- Pep
- di Matteo
- Heynckes
- Ancelotti
- Enrique
- Zidane
Where's Allegri and Simeone there? It's not a very impressive list.
