Seen Cole's tweet and it looks like he was backtracking a fair bit.

Not seen the whole interview but I can't comment.

It wouldn't be anything new anyway. Anyone that watches his teams play can see that Ancelotti is just there to set the team up. Bayern players exposed his useless methods and coaching on the training ground.

Wow.

Ashley Cole picked Ancelotti over peak Wenger and peak Mourinho?

Very surprised.

As good as Cole was he was a little bitch.

He would do anything for the money.

Don't think he liked being told what to do.

Right! Seems like it would almost be worse then.

Oh please.

As bad as Wenger is now as a coach he is still idolised in world football.

He's the reason we've got Ozil.

He's the reason we've got Aubameyang.

He would be perfect for us at the club aslong as it's not coaching on the pitch. His influence on players is massive.

If that is what needs to be done to get rid of Wenger then so be it.

Doubt it honestly. Theyve hardly shown that they are willing to give their all for wenger in the last 3 months.

Also havent read a single player interview where they defended wenger during our shit spell

Champions League winner Luis Enrique stalls on Chelsea as he eyes Arsenal job
https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/689573/Luis-Enrique-Chelsea-Arsenal-Barcelona-next-manager-Champions-League

The ex-Barcelona coach tops the Blues’ shortlist of potential replacements for their unsettled Italian boss Antonio Conte.

But so far Enrique, 46, who has taken a year off after three seasons in charge at the Nou Camp, is reluctant to commit to last season’s Premier League champions. Spaniard Enrique would prefer to make his return to football at the Emirates Stadium rather than Stamford Bridge because of Chelsea’s reputation for constantly hiring and then firing managers.

Enrique coaching Ozil, Auba, Mikhitaryan and Ramsey would be pretty interesting. Probably also one of the few managers willing to try a 2 striker formation.

Not really. Saying Ancelotti was his best manager becauswe he knew how to get the best out of the players is perfectly reasonable. And lets not forget, Ancelotti has tactics, Wenger does not.

Whats the point in him going upstairs to meddle in affairs and maintain his hold on things ? As long as we don't sign some no name manager any decent manager at Arsenal will be able to attract top names.

What would he be able to meddle with?

He will sure as hell do a lot more for the club if he was upstairs then some of those idiots who are there that just collect there pay packets and do absolutely nothing.
