Not sure about this one, we seem to be constantly linked with him, and I'm sure he said no us in the summer, but not no to The Premiership.

SE13

I remember this too, he rejected us and the Spuds who were going to pay £24m and said he would rather play for Barca.

But non the less I think he would be a great asset to the side BUT we will be reading in 18 months time he's being linked to every club in the world, just like the Viera and Henry saga's.

Mate, you have a pic of Bendtner next to your name. You have no opinion ;)

Damo, I agree with you mate. Why do people not want him? When did we get in the amazing position of being able to say no to a player of his calibre? He'd strengthen the squad and he's class. Guy has the touch of an angel.

TBH gunn, we we got him for £10m I'd be cool with that. The boy's a dribbler, an orchestrator and can score goals. If we got him I'd say next season we'd see the best of him.
AW knows what he's doing. And Ivan the Great will drive a hard bargain.

As much as I would like to see Arshavin come to us and it can all get pretty exciting reading stories like this. But I can't say I ever expected to see Wenger spending £20million on a player, let alone £20million on a un-tried Premiership player who is 27 (I know its not old, but this is Wenger)

It could be a very interesting/exciting couple of days

I'll admit I said at the begining of the season that I didn't want him (for that amount of money) and I thought he was overhyped from his Euro performance, but now we need him honestly. We could probably sell Bendtner and Gallas and get most of that money back anyway.

But why would we necessarily pay £20m? Everyone apart from Citeh are caught in the financial downturn so, Zenit will have to get real on his valuation. I very much doubt we'll pay anything approaching that price. No-one else has come in for him recently, so I can't see a bidding war.
Then again, this could be my famous last words... :|

If we sign him for 20 mil, can you imagine what the look on Wengers face will be? :rofll:

I dont think it will be £20m, It is a buyers market and Zenit could not sell him for that price in the summer when all the hype surrounded him. During the Euros Wenger said that Arshavin would be in the premiership this season. What with the start we have made and the hype fizzing out Wenger could have played one hell of a waiting game..........
