Tbf to Wenger, this guy went to Rangers who made no moves to sign him and rather get Joey Barton for this season.

Says it all about this guy. Has never impressed and just another product of our failed youth system

The one that got me was Fran Merida, when we sold him I was gutted, he has not gone on to do anything of note at all though has he ?!!!

I saw Zelalem play in a live game about two years ago. His passing was ridiculous for a teenager. The weight of his passes was perfect and he could thread a needle. Cant understand why he didnt go on to become Cazorla's successor.

When Cazorla got injured last year I mentioned that it wouldn't hurt to give Zelalem a go in the final few minutes of the EFL cup and FA cup against smaller sides.

I know they play different positions but his performances can't be any worse that the youngsters Iwobi, Chamberlain who've featured regularly this season.

Even when he came on in the league cup you could see his vision is different level to most, there's a natural eye for it which we found in Cesc and I thought we'd found it in this guy too. Tbf to Wenger, nobody we've let go at the age of 18 or older has gone on to do anything special that I can remember, they usually do get it right.

Afobe was just annoying for the lack of funds we got and fact we kept Akpom over him.
Ozyakup was a shame at the time but turned out decent at best
Vela was poor management, misused and under utilised during his time here
Gnabry yet to be seen, I didn't really rate him from what he'd shown but may turn out good
Miyaichi ruined by injuries and turned out nothing great after that

Zelalem - TBC

Seems a shame now, especially as Dortmund usually have a good eye for talent but no guarantee's he'll come good.

He's physically bigger than Mahrez, Silva, Modric. All of whom have been standout in the premier league.

Zelalem couldn't hack it in Scotland, he might hack it in that two team league where only Bayern and FC Koln are any good
