WENGER OUT

On a side note what do you think of Jorge Sampaoli?

The way in which he fought with Chile & Sanchez as an Argentinean, winning the Copa America back2back against Argentina !
Beautiful TOTAL football, not just attacking tici taca but known for solid SMART, dynamic defenses & defensive midfield2 attacking play!
The way he managed Sevilla although I heard from you guys that wasn;t so great, but I remember when he was at Sevilla, they were atop La Liga battling Real & Barca 4 the title, but with all this excellence back2back, 2COPA Americas & Quality with Sevilla he finally made the Argentinean Football Federation say UNCLE! ( they finally gave him a chance to manager HIS NATIONAL TEAM...with MESSI & ETC.....after all those outside jobs...he earned thier RESPECT!!!)

They realized he was the best Argentinean coach living & practicing - know to martial teams with strong defensive qualities,
Coupled with Messi's potentially last world Cup & fixing the top heavy unbalanced Argentinean teams defense & midfield.

Back when Sanchez was still Arsenal i was hoping with his relationship with him, & his Awesome footbal style & clout, I though that he would be great to replace Wenger.

Now he is poised to bring balance to the force that is Argentina this World Cup, & I believe he could do it, so I hope Arsenal ( AKA Sven Mislat - Ivan & Co) work thier magic & secure Jorge Sampaoli's services in the summer B4 the World Cup.

Because if he wins it. IF thats is, Man U-PSG-TRUMP-& All the OTHER Rich bastards ae gona swarm for him!!!!!!
& then some months after we'll hear the standard 'Arsenal fan' bed time story,
about how Arsenal NEARLY SIGNED SAMPAOLI :) ...........it was just a discrepance in wages :) etc, etc
& we settle 4 less, because thats what Arsenal fans do :(

I don't really care who we bring in. Worst case scenario, the next manager, whoever it is, doesn't turn out to be good, but at least there would be a much more chance of him getting fired for incompetence. We won't be stuck in the same boring loop.

Those who have a problem with Andrew winning POTM, you only have yourselves to blame for neglecting to vote for someone else.

First of all looking through my post hostory in this forum would suggest that, like the ever-growing majority, I despise Wenger. Like I've previously mentioned, the infamous 8-2 game was the final straw for me. Nothing, absolutely nothing has made me and will make me have to do anything with Arsenal FC until he's gone. Not even signing Ozil in 2013, Sanchez in 2014 and the latest big name signing just this Winter window will ever change my mind. I don't watch Arsenal games but unfortunately I have to endure their highlights everywhere I go because we're a premier league mad country down here even in offices, outdoors you just name it.

Though I don't watch them anymore, I know exactly how Arsenal plays. Xhaka misplaces passes, Bellerin runs into blind alleys, Mustafi slides into needless challenges in dangerous areas, Lacazette presses but no one joins him, Cech trying to dribble charging strikers....long story short, 11 individuals each trying their own idea rather than a collective effort.

Thing is, for the sake of my health and sanity, I've accepted our current predicament until he's gone. Man city are the lesser of 5 other evils so I'm fine with them winning everything if it's not Arsenal fc. One can only hope this is his final season with us. Here's to a wonderful new week my fellow WOB. Proud Gooner from Nigeria :arsenal3:

It's the PLAYERS , buddy.
Let me give you an analogy . I assume you follow the NBA .
Couple of weeks ago, a large majority of Cavaliers fans were screaming on forums for Ty Lue to replaced. The team looked awful, losing big against any decent opposition. Then Dan Gilbert took matters into his own hands and traded almost half of their entire roster incl. superstars . Now all of a sudden they look thousand times better .
Most fans now are admitting Ty Lue wasn't in fact the problem, but indeed players that just didn't fit together .
Losing DD has a lot to do with our current situation. We just aren't buying the right players anymore.
This sideways passing specialists take you nowhere.

It's not only the players. The manager is a big problem. Our tactics nowadays are awful to watch against big teams. Look how deep our team was against Tottenham. They let Tottenham so much space and it was like zone defending not aggressive enough on the Spurs players + our players don't make these short passing anymore except Özil and Wilshere. So many passes intercepted easily by a spurs player. It's just painful. I think we don't need defenders. A different manager could teach them new things so that they can actually learn from mistakes. They keep making the same mistakes a few games later. Our midfield and tactics are the big problem. Our midfield has no discipline when it comes to defending. There is always someone fking things up in our defensive formation. Against Spurs it was Xhaka who let Özil down so Özil needed to attack I think it was Dier and he passes it to the open space Özil let Davies. And the way Spurs played the same attacking style on Davies side with a long ball on Kane you can't tell me that this wasn't mentioned in half time. That's what a coach should do and see. Our coaching stuff probably didn't see anything. We looked awful after 20 minutes and nothing changed in the second half. No one needs to blame Lacazette for not scoring. We didn't even deserved that chance. It could or should have been another punishment.

Now imagine ty lue being in charge of personal and bringing in sub par players and asking them to play against better players. If ty lue is Wenger ( 2010-now) than Fergie is popovic .... Levels to every position.

I agree with your DD part. We lost our filter and gave one guy too much to handle. How can you ask a manager to scout every league and prepare for 4 competitions? His own fault though... He doesn't believe in a director even though that was DDs role without the title. Just doesn't want anyone above him like King Louis Henry the 8th or Caesar. It's time for some change. Hence the two year succession plan which has obviously fast forwarded to this year.

Yes and no. Wenger bought the most of our players that's what we know.

The problem is that sometimes a player doesn't put the effort in and don't give you what you expect.

BUT!

As a manager you either get this player to peform the way you want it or you sort him out. Poorly pressing of our players isn't new to us.
