WENGER OUT

Gazidis confirms Wenger had plenty of say in all the staff recruitments recently.

As I thought.

And people on here thought his power was diminishing.

Savor a few more moments of this legendary thread before it goes to the History section.

Should have remained stickied as a reminder .

Where is " Wenger In" . Why was it deleted ?

Such a shame that even on a day like today there is still a minority of people that want to act like dickheads.

Im feeling nostalgic today for all of the Club's history

For David Danskin listening to us win the FA cup on the radio from his sick bed

The man who started the club. Still loved it despite failing to be elected to it's board. Sent his son to sell programmes for the club even after that snub.

The man who started the club was man enough to understand it was better off without him ffs

Im not nostalgic for Arsene Wenger today.

Going tin foil hat mode for second.

The plan was Wenger stepping down at the end of the season, but he knew by announcing it now all the fans would rally around him and the club as a whole would be galvanized.

Players will be extra motivated to win the EL for him and fan support is going to be unbelievable.

I think we are going to win it now.

I think Wenger has played his final master stroke.

By announcing it now Wenger gets two months of adulation and the club avoid the embarrassment of more half empty matches

Simple as that

We've announced it less than a week before the first leg.

I think this was by design.

I'm sorry but nobody is going to care about the half empty emirates we have seen this season in 5 years time. Nobody will give a f**k.

Nobody will give shit about what we 'could' of won in Wengers declining years, they will only remember the trophies he DID win.

Arsenal FC is now entering the unknown. I want experience to replace Wenger because we are going into a indefiate transition period as we have the platform to conquer europe but with a new manager in after 22 years there is no guarantee where will be next year. I hope we get Allegri and conquer everything next year but who f***ing knows, it may take him a year to adapt for all we know.

Today is about beginning the long goodbye to arguably our greatest ever manager and certainly our greatest manager in modern times and living memory.

Today is about respect for a man who through many faults and my own desires for him to leave a few years ago is finally leaving.

See, in reflection you see people f**k up, it happens however the balance comes from making sure you achieve things, which Wenger has and has done for 22 years, even last years rubbish season where he should have gone he achieved. In life when they move on, you look back at legendary figures on what they did well becuase you can't take those things for granted anymore, even the little things.

I'm sorry but little to no one will be saying Wenger has ruined his legacy at all because all in all when we look back if he did achieved everything he could he would have been the greatest manager of all time in any sport let alone just football.

Overall, i'm excited at the prospect of moving on, we badly need to however we are still entering the unknown so Wengers replacement will be one of the most important decisions the club will ever make and we need to get it right.
