U2 - No Line on the Horizon

U2 - No Line on the Horizon

Quality album, bits of it are quite atmospheric. Bits are quite poppy, Get on your boots really doesn't fit with anything else on it - although it's grown on me quite a bit. Lanois has done a quality job, the mix and production is top notch.

Stand out track is 'Magnificent', unashamedly 'old' U2 with Lanois synths in it - tremendi.

Anyone want it?

PS Bono's still a cock.

every time i hear "sexy boots" i want jump in the car and go to Dublin so i can punch Bono straight in the testicles.

as an Irishman i should really like U2. but i don't, i really have tried to get into them but i cant. listen to every album. maybe if i see them live it might change my opinion but i doubt it

anyway i gave album a listen and apart from 1 or 2 songs, i didn't like it. i thought it was bland.

I've only heard snippets so far, but it sounds ok.

U2 always said they would stop after they made the "perfect" album. The nearest they got was in 84 with "The Unforgettable Fire" although they did push quite well with "The Joshua Tree" in 87, after which nothing really did it for me.

I liked their last album quite a bit, but this one just isn't clicking. There are a couple of decent songs. Some of the lyrics though don't even make sense IMO.
