every year national radio station - triple j has a poll to find out what the hottest 100 songs of the year are . this year triple j received over 800000 votes .

here are the top 10 songs of 2008

#1 - Kings of Leon - Sex on Fire
#2 - MGMT - Electric Feel
#3 - Kings of Leon - Use Somebody
#4 - Empire of the Sun - Walking On A Dream
#5 - MGMT - Kids
#6 - The Presets - Talk Like That
#7 - Pez - The Festival Song(feat. 360 and Hailey Cramer)
#8 - The Presets - This Boy's In Love
#9 - The Ting Tings - That's Not My Name

Thats what they were called til they had to change it cos some other band had it. You've more than probably heard their song 'Kids'. The album is class.

There's some good trackage on that list.

Pretty good countdown this year. Figured KofL would take the number one.
Really can't stand the Ting-Tings though.

otherwise ive heard 4 songs in the 100 list. Im 23 and im soooooooo old and out of touch with the kids now a days :crybaby:

yes it is a tad disappointing from Triple J to be playing these songs but that what the listeners voted for and to be fair Triple J would have been plugging Kings of Leon ages before the made it big with sex on fire.

Doesn't make it any good though mate, you want to see some of the dog shite that gets into the top 10 in the UK charts.

MGMT is a great band,2 shy hippies,nothing wrong with that.
Kids is the most played song on my I-pod.

But who are the presets and pez???
