Killers

Is it just me, or does anyone else wonder why everyone gets moist over this band? :dontknow:

Rather than being one of the biggest bands around at the moment, as I am constantly hearing, I would suggest that they are an absolute pile of overrated shit :sundae:

I mean, seriously, if I have to listen to "Human" on the radio once more, I swear I will pull my own ears off and set fire to them

What's the deal? Why are they this big thing? They're almost (but not quite!) as shit as Scouting for Girls! :snooty: :disgust:

Human is poor. But they're not a bad band overall. "All These Things That Ive Done" is a choon. "Andy Youre a Star", "Read My Mind", "Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine" and "Bones" are good.

Good singles, shit albums sums them up for me. New single is the worst out of them all to be honest.

I don't hate them or anything, can listen to some stuff if it hasn't been overplayed. Not got any on my ipod, though.

I really loved the first album.
Nearly every tune was a blinder but the next two albums haven't even come close to the quality of that first one.
They seem to have gone a bit glam-pop recently...

I have a love-hate relationship with them. Enjoyed Hot Fuss and Sam's Town then for the life of me can't force myself to like Sawdust. Have yet to listen to Day and Age. They said it's their most "playful" album. If it sounds as bad as the reviews here, they must have overplayed it. :sneaky2:

I used to like Sam's Town a lot, Sawdust was also quite nice.... though I didn't even buy Day & Age cause most of that songs seemed rather crappy.

Have not heard anything they recorded after 2008. But back then they were massive for good reason. Bands like the Strokes, the White Stripes etc were rehashing blues, '70s Americana rock n roll. The Killers were one of the few exploring Duran Duran, New Order and other '80s influences, and ended up becoming the biggest of the "The" bands. The album with "Human" was where they started going indie pop, but the first two albums still stand up IMO.
