What a singer
Bare in mind that this performance ^^ of We Are The Champions was the last song on the second night at Wembley - and in the middle of a huge tour - and his voice is still perfect.

Heres another clip from that famous Wembley gig

The Show Must Go On - recorded just weeks before Freddie's death, and despite that he STILL puts in a stunning performance

Happy Birthday Freddie.

:hail:

I changed the title of an old thread dedicated to him instead of starting a new one.

Morrisey Is and was a crap singer and I found him annoying to be honest. Smiths would have been amazing with a better singer up top.

I agree i could tolerate Morrisey in the smiths, but you said "Frontman" not singer. He is/was an egotistical donkey botherer but he was massively influential. Jim Morrison has to be the best front man of all time imho

Morrison was very good. But in terms of pure leadership onstage, combined with brutally powerful vocals, there are really only four.... Liam Gallagher, Murcury, Lennon, Daltrey.

There are no current singers in that league. I think the closest is the lad who "plays up front" for The Enemy. Hes got a hell of a voice and attitude to match. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cmEPN6p1EzA

Best singer and performer I've ever known along with Michael Jackson.

His voice is something out of this world! I still keep Queen's best hits on my iPod and it gives me the goosebumps every single time.

One of my personal favorites, this is for you Freddie! :hands:

do dead people still have birthdays?

U2, Bowie & Quo were just as good as Queen at Live Aid, but they aren't dead or gay so hardly get a look in.

The Smiths without Morrisey wouldn't have been the Smiths FFS, you don't half spout some crap.
