UFGN's Daily Choooon

Postby UFGN » Tue Nov 25, 2008 2:57 am

Basically an egocentric way of me getting to post some of favourite tunes for no apparent reason.

But it wont be obvious stuff - more songs you may not have heard or may not have heard for a while... and they will probably be quite different from each other from one day to the next

Enjoy ;)

Gonna kick off with a song that's so good it makes me wanna go OOOOOOOOOOOOEEEEEEEEEEE

Achilles Last Stand > Kashmir. In my opinion of course. Good stuff.

It's funny because it's hard to find people who like the 'Presence' album and Achilles Last Stand in particular.
Personally I think it's a blistering tune and so is 'Nobody's Fault But Mine' but I seem to be in the minority.
Is it better than Kashmir? Who can say, it's down to personal opinion but if we're talking about Kashmir surely the best version of it that they ever did was the recent one which was part of the Unledded tour:

All that African percussion, superb especially the last 3 minutes.

You can hear the proper audio taken from the album here.
It's so long it had to be split into two parts:
Part 1: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=v06MRns5_VI
Part 2: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ckEMjfh52 ... h_response

Anyway this is one of my favourite Zep tunes:

And of course you can't beat the old classic:

groom suits for gooners with taste

Mr Blue Sky... obviously a very famous song, but I rarely actually hear it. Just a really happy tune.

I would bet this song has probably appeared in more films than any other
