The thread is entitled "the greatest singer/songwriters/musicians of today"

Who fits the bill to a higher level than Noel Gallagher? I'm waiting for the answer to this with genuine anticipation :dizzy:

In my experience people seem to have a problem with a bloke who sings in a high-pitched voice. They think if they listen to it it somehow makes them gay.
People also laugh at anyone who listens to the Proclaimers because they find the accent hilarious.

If people can get past these initial stumbling blocks and appreciate the quality of the music they'll find that the Proclaimers first album for example was good stuff.
Equally, Coldplay is very well written music imo.

"500 Miles" is a fookin choon. And "Lets Get Married" is hilarious.
