Build your own super-group

Build your own super-group

Postby Good_Eye_Sniper » Tue Jun 24, 2008 11:50 am

Simply put, choose the best (in your opinion) in his or her field, and make your own bespoke supergroup.

Here's mine -

VOCALS - Claudio Sanchez (Coheed and Cambria)
LEAD GUITAR - Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine/Audioslave)
RHYTHM GUITAR - Dave Murray (Iron Maiden)
BASS - Les Claypool (Primus)
DRUMS - Joey Jordinson (Slipknot)

EDIT: BACKING VOCALS - Maynard James Keenan (Tool) :hail:

Over to you :sundae:

Vocal: Syd Barrett (Pink Floyd)

Lead guitar: Jimi Hendrix

Rythm guitar: John Lennon (Beatles) I know he did more than this for the beatles and vocals, but with his broad mind, he'd fit in good with the rest of this group.

Bass: Flea (Red Hot chili peppers) Absolutely sick on the bass.

Drums: Dave Grohl (in his Nirvana days)

I have to agree with your selection of Flea... I'm not a HUGE music fan, as far as to the point of taking notice of too many people individually, but that guy blows me away on the bass.

This space used to be more fun...

Yeah... he sure isn't lacking in the showmanship department either.

I think it was Woodstock '98... he played the entire set in the nude... that was... well... different to say the least...

Can't get that Flea video to work mate.
Flea is a good choice though.

My choice for a supergroup would be:

Drums: John Bonham :hail:
Bass/Keyboards/triple-neck guitar: John-Paul Jones
Guitars: Jimmy Page
Vocals: Robert Plant

No need to go bespoke to get the perfect supergroup. ;)

It opens up but then it stops and jumps all over the place. Doesn't really matter, I've heard more than enough Flea to know what he's capable of.

Hey I think I know that group. ;)

And whats funny is, everytime I thought of someone to put, I thought of one of them first, I had a hard time not picking any of them. :(

Dude, you should check out Les Claypool then, that guy is super human!

Also, for guitar, you could do a lot worse than Nuno Bettencourt
