I give up ffs. Going to make a separate thread for him. He's too good for this thread.

The 2016 American Music Awards could be a huge night for hip-hop. Artists like Desiigner, Ty Dolla Sign, Fetty Wap, and Future are all up for tonight’s prizes; however, Drake is definitely the man to watch.

The Toronto rapper leads the 2016 pack with 13 nominations, breaking Michael Jackson’s record for the most AMA nods in a single year. (Jackson landed 11 nominated in 1984.) Drake will be vying for awards such as Favorite Male Artist – Pop/Rock, Collaboration of the Year, and Favorite Artist - Rap/Hip-Hop. Rihanna follows Drake with seven nominations. Adele and Justin Timberlake are tied for third with five, leading Beyoncé and The Chainsmokers with four each.

Anyone listen to A Tribe Called Quests new album?

Great album especially considering it's the first one they've released since the 90s

I love how it's classic Tribe updated for the modern era.

On another note, Kanye descends further into insanity, but at least he's getting help. Even though it's been 9 years, his mother's death has destroyed him.

If these two tracks make it onto the album and the album is like these two tracks, then DAYUMMMM - straight fire and more platinum in Cole's future. Very few rappers are safe in these songs; even Kanye, Drake, and Wale are being put on blast  :rofll: Kanye needs to wake the hell up and get back to what made him great or only produce and give up rapping; he hasn't dropped a great solo album since MBDTF six years ago. Kanye's experimental bs is crap, and his demigod-thinking is cringeworthy.

I love the vibe. Cole is rapping in the purest essence without the need for flaunting bling, hoes, and dough. I respect the hell out of Cole for honing his craft, keeping it real, and not taking the easy way out.

J Cole confirmed trash after this new album.

Not one single standout song on there.

Have you listened to it?

I saw it only has 10 tracks. Kind of disappointing.

Yup. Been through the whole thing. Massively disappointed considering the hype around it.

Dull would be the best way to describe it in my opinion. Not motivated to go back to listen through again.

Forest hills drive is miles better.

Finished my first listen now. The content is much heavier than Forest Hills Drive. Makes sense considering the year he's been through. I get why he's left out False Prophets, it doesn't suit the rest of the album.

I would have preferred an album of False Prophets-like songs but I'm not surprised he released this. Good music, and worth a listen, but I don't expect he'll be going double platinum without features this time.
