Not sure if anything's happened but he's purposefully stayed out of the spotlight and for the large part took a break from public life. You can tell it's been related to, at least in part, his mental health by the lyrics of the album.

I feel like Cole should've taken the second verse from '03 Adolescence, made it into an entire song, and put that as the third track on 4 Your Eyez Only. Would've helped the overall story of the album about his friend imo

Definitely not anywhere near his best though. 6.5/10 for me. Maybe it'll grow on me with time. But how are you gonna come at Kanye for half-ass'ing it and then put this out? Ffs

I love Cole, but this is why he will always be looked at second after K-Dot when people look back on this generation.

Get woke. Immortal is a banger. 4 Your Eyez Only, especially the final verse, is emotional. Change and Neighbors are good. For Whom the Bell Tolls is a decent intro. The rest is meh, though.

I don't think he half arsed this though. Code's songs are always heavily reliant on his lyricism, and he definitely didn't half arse that. Yeah, 10 songs and no real hits I don't think but you can hear the time and effort that went into his lyrics.

Decided to give Tha Carter III a listen today. Man, it really brought me back to middle school days. That period Lil Wayne had from 2005-08 was pure punchline gold. We'll never witness another higher-than-a-kite-how-tf-was-this-conceived rapper like him

Will 2017 be the year Andre 3000 finally returns?

How he is missed.

Read Kanye has returned to the studio with Pete Rock.

If PR's producing can't help him revive his career, no one can.

Bless. My dude finally got around to releasing a video for the song. I'm beyond hyped for All-Amerikkkan Bada$$ to drop on April 7.

With Kendrick dropping To Pimp a Butterfly in 2015, Common dropping Black America Again late last year, and Joey dropping All-Amerikkkan Bada$$ next month, the discourse on black America through music has been tremendous (and much needed imo) over the past three years.

I'm way too hype for this. Q, Meechy, Styles, and Cole?! April 7 can't come soon enough. Calling it now: album of the year.

"Devastated" and "Land of the Free" are already dope ass singles.

My nigga Jo is about to high key vault up into the Kendrick-tier.

Stay blessed.
