VCC its tempting to put in the whole decade of the 80s, it was mostly a hell hole in terms of music, but then you lose some classic bands as well. Not many, admittedly, but some.

80s music = shitehile you were there, excellent compared to the offerings in mainstream music today.

Still, dismissing the 80s as a source of influence to modern day music is madness.

Queen
Yellow man
Grand master flash
Hip hop in general
Break beat
Electro
Michael Jackson
David Bowie
Beers Hammond
The Isley brothers
Jimmy cliff
Prince
Cool n the gang
Cameo (lol)
Whitney Houston
NWA
Talking heads
Public enemy

List is endless

Back up off the 80s!

Justin Bieber is a weird one...

I coached 26 teenage girls this last autumn... and just one was a JB fan. How the hell is he so popular? The other girls on the team would make fun of her for liking him too. :dizzy:
This space used to be more fun...

Zedie, f**k Whitney Houston. She was a glorified kareoke singer who helped to create the shit "r&b" sound that we are still being inflicted with today. She only just avoided going on my list.

Can we add Nirvana? If kurt hadn't died nobody would know who they were. Their music was cr@p and lyrics made no sense.

WANTED.... For crimes against music

Nirvana's music is dull and depressing, their lyrics make no sense and their whole image just annoys me.

Kurt reminded me of kevin off of kevin and perry (harry enfield character).

Yosifun, Prince isnt my cup of tea but i can see some real tallent there. Hes a multi-instramentalist, and he wrote some tunes..... Kiss, Purple Rain and Nothing Compares To You, which was of course sung by Sinaid O'Connor.

PG, lay off Nirvana! Overrated perhaps but they did some great tunes.
