I didn't like the new album at first, but it's slowly starting to grow on me. Not many "catchy" songs really, but you can still hear the skill in his word play.

Was going through my music library and got hella middle school nostalgia.
People sleep on Lil Wayne when compiling a greatest rappers list. Weezy was absurd from 2005-09. His one liners and pun game from that period are nigh untouchable, and he managed to drop some real shit at the same time. If his peak were today, the Kendrick—and even Drake to an extent—hype from the last few years would seem insignificant.
Does anyone else think that was one of the greatest runs in hip hop history?

1. Nas
2. Biggie
3. Andre 3000
4. Eminem
5. Jay Z
Could swap Eminem with Andre depending on my mood but that's my top 5 more or less.
