Did you know Michael McDonald was a singer for them?

He was also with The Doobie Brothers before going solo.

I had heard it mentioned
I guess it’s some of the beautiful backing vocals on tracks like peg that make it such a great song but for me Macdonald is a bit too pure. I like a bit of grit in the oyster

Really good band at a time when music was getting a bit indulgent with prog rock and 15 minute guitar/drum / any f***ing instrument solos.
Or post glam pap that saw bands like the Rubettes
And showaddywaddy coming to the fore.
It was bands like bad company who were playing tight listenable rock music
