Most memorable concert/gig

Postby Git » Sat Jan 15, 2011 12:00 pm

Went to Escape the Fate last night at the O2 Academy. They were brilliant live, a lot better than I thought. Tiny venue so the whole place was rocking too. :)

De La Soul at the Forum... just a perfect performance, played all their best stuff. And they do alot to get the crowd involved.

Others and a smaller scale:
GZA at Brixton Mas
Jehst at Brixton Mas
Jehst at Jazz Café Camden

...and just the best night ever: Tommy Evens at The Rhythm Factory. Great live performance, open mic, unorganised live graffiti and unorganised little pockets of b-boy battles on the dancefloor. Aaahhhhh Yyeeeaaaahhh!!!!

My top no1 gig was Madness and there first Madstock(91) at Finsbury Park.. It was so loud it apparently caused the tower blocks to rumble.. Me and my mates bumped into Thompson as he was sitting in "The Sheakspear Pub" in Victoria.
Morrisey done only 2 songs before getting bottles and shit thrown at him. Later Suggs nearly tripped on a spoon someone had thrown."Ok Which one of you bastards threw this" He joked.

Guns'n Roses at Wembley Stadium(91) was a fooking hot mother of a day.. All the metalheads started throwing plastic bottles at the old bill cos they kept us waiting at the gates..It was the first tome Soundgarden played in London and the other support was Faith No More, who rocked it, absolutley smashed it and said "Follow that Axl". GNR were fooking awesome and was the last gig that Izzy Stradlin played as a member of the band.

The Prodigy at Bagleys Oct 93 was a great gig. First time i had seen them and me and my mate grabbed Keith Flint's hands and wouldn't let him go..

Pearl Jam Hyde Park last year. Another hot day me and my bessie pal sat in a nice little pub watched a crap WC2010 game between portugal and Brazil but man that night with Eddie and the boys was tops. We had a big bag of green and sung along to all the songs all night.

I have seen some good giggs like U2,Prince, Coral ,Athlete but those above i will remember all my life

Bruce Springsteen at Earls court in 99, my first concert and think him with the e-street band is the best live performance you could see, seen him a couple times since and if hes on again around London shall be going again.
