Old ones are better than the new stuff since 2010.

Also my musical taste is seriously all over the place, one minute I can be listening to Spragga Benz, next minute this.

Flicked onto C5 80’s megamix the other day to watch the countdown of the top 30 songs in 1981.

I ended up recording it and watching it now. Some great songs although the vids could be a bit dodgy. What a time to listen to music…..we took it all for granted at the time.

In your minds Rockape / Phil

If you had to choose, would you choose the 70's or 80's for music?

70’s, no question! Saw Elton John at Earls Court in 76, Queen in 78. Loved ELO, Supertramp, Bowie, Rod etc etc

Listened to Capital radio on 194, was a fantastic time for music.

Yeah it has to be 70s.

I loved bands like Free and Bad Company. I wanted to be Paul Rodgers. Still think he's the best front man of rock n roll.

The late 70s was terrific and I started getting into American rock bands like Lynrd Skynrd, Blue Oyster Cult, Kansas, and appreciating stuff I'd somewhat overlooked like Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd.

Great times. We'll never get them back.

Tough one for me but I think it would be the 90's for me.

Out of the 80's and 70's I'm not sure, 70's rock bands were better but the 80's had some classic alternative and pop groups, definitely the height of pop music although pop's not my scene.

But if I had to pick a decade its going to be the 90's it had the best - House & Garage, RnB, Hip-Hop, Grunge / Alternative Rock, Nu-Metal, Brit Rock, Dance hall -

All of that was at its best in the 90's and those are more my "scene" if you will so speaks to me more.

But I still love 80's & 70's as well, even some 60's tbf.

........... I think most people agree that late 2000's till now is just an utter shambles, yes there is the "odd" good song or group but there aren't whole scenes or movements of music, no icons.

The scenes now are jerk off bubble gum pop, crappy mumble rap, some ok House music still being made tbf but other than that its bollocks, I'm always heading back to the 90's, 80's, 70's for my music and early 2000's.

One of my all time favorite songs and probably no longer PC because of its Dixie land reference
American Trilogy by Elvis
Fantastic song reference like I said to the south and North battle songs of the civil war backed with a big band
