Dead-Set

Dead-Set

Postby TheLittleMozart » Thu Oct 23, 2008 12:01 pm

This is a new show starting monday at 10 on E4.
From what I can get from the trailers it seems to start off showing a Big Brother eviction night, but they before the person get evicted,it gets on the news that rioting has started all over the country and that the 'dead are coming back to life'. And I can only assume that the show will be about them trying to survive this epidemic.

I dont know about anyone else, but I will definatley be tuing into this show becuase I absolutley love any films/shows to do with zombies or anything of the sort, and I would reccomend that anyone who even just likes horror films to definatley tune in becuase it looks asweome!

Heres the trailer.

Watched this piece of docu-fiction last night and I quite enjoyed it, it has to be said.

Obvious negatives were the "precision zombie bites" , they all seemed to go immediately for the throat of their victim. I presume the writer/director has attempted to "water down" the true horror of a real zombie attack, a quick "TV death" from a severed carotid artery is, I guess, more palatable than a 10-15 minute struggle as someone bleeds to death from multiple bits all over their body.

I liked the fact they the previous BB contestants were featured which helped to create a sort of sense of realism.

I was pleasantly surprised at the brutality of the piece. the zombie feeding scenes were excellent, as was Jaime Winstone's execution of the ghoul that enetered the house at the end.

Looking forward to tonight's instalment!

Last nights episode was pretty good. Its still getting off to a slow start in my opinion, but thats probably becuase it's only a 30 minute episode each night.

I expect it now to start getting a bit better seeing as everything been explain. Will still definatley be tuning in tonight though :)
