For me there is no comparison, SKY is superior on just about every criteria you care to name. The only reason I have Setanta is to watch whichever Arsenal games are on there. I can't say that I like their commentators much but they are OK, the SKY commentators are much better.

I have both.
What I can't find on one, I can usually find on the other. I also have golTV for all of the matches in Latin America.

Parents have Setanta whilst I have Sky.
The footie coverage on Sky is unparalelled, they've taken the analysis into the 21st Century. Andy Gray is a legend, only Alan Hansen comes close (in fact what a combo they'd be together! The pragmatist & the Enigma). Setanta has the games Sky doesn't.
And Sky has the run on Rugby Union.
What I do like about Setanta is their ability to show all the top fights (Sky only has Ricky Hatton), Setanta showed Margarito v Cotto the other week. One word - Classic!

I watch both of em pretty often to be honest because Setanta has a lot of Gaelic on it but Setanta Sports News is f***ing shit! There's too much going on there. Sky Sports News shall not be moved!

Another feather in their cap. But they need to muscle in on the CL.
Hold on, what am i saying???!!!
You know what - i wish the Beeb and ITV could just get their act together and reclaim live coverage of the EPL. Even though Sky have broken new ground and Andy G is a guru, I still prefer footie on terrestrial TV. Mayber cos I grew up with Brian Moore, Motty, Coleman Saint & Greavsie, MOTD, The Big Match, World of Sport, Grandstand, the list goes on. Ahhhhhh... those were the days.....

I've got both and have to admit Sky is better but Setanta is getting better, don't forget Setanta is relatively new to English footy after mainly showing Scottish and Irish Leagues.

This season Setanta has the Community Shield, more EPL games, FA and Carling Cup games, Football league and Blue Square matches, Scottish and Irish League matches, England and U21 games, European and World Football league matches, International matches, Arsenal TV, Liverpool TV, Celtic TV, Rangers TV, not to mention Boxing and other selected sports and NASN for the American stuff! So it's excellent if you like watching sport! (which I do!!) ;)

Setanta's boxing coverage is excellent.
I'm not just talking about the fights themselves, but the whole coverage and analysis bit.
