Monk

Monk

I noticed there wasn't a thread dedicated to Monk possibly one of the consistent, funny, addictive, :rofll: laugh till you cry shows on Tv.
Who else here has props for the show.
Oh and hows about listing some of the stuff you find funny about him too, like:
I laugh at the fact that when he eats soup he wipes the spoon after every sip :rofll: and tosses the napkin.

I watched a few episodes, I found him to be unconvincing. His constant fragility seems to be at odds with his amazing powers of detection. I suppose that an obsessive compulsive could be the USA's answer to Jack Frost but it doesn't quite ring true. I like the views of San Francisco, what a great city.

When I say unconvincing I don't mean the acting, I just think that his frailties and idiosyncracies sit very uncomfortably with his ability to track down all these criminals. In real life I think that someone that neurotic couldn't be such an efficient detective. The programme has plenty of entertainment value but, for me, the main character is too much of a contradiction.
