Does anyone else watch it? The 4th (and last) season starts next week, and I have to admit the nerd in me is squealing like a little girl.

Noo its nothing like Star Trek apart from it being in space (well the new one, the original was very Star Trekky). Its very dark, can be very violent at times, and has some very adult themes, like genocide, torture etc.

Best programme on telly, but its finished this season because no one bloody watches it. :disgust:

Everyone who might watch it thinks its like Star Trek so they pass, plus its on the Sci-Fi channel, no one in America watches the Sci_Fi channel so no ratings no programme.Thats why Stargate SG1 was canceled, and thats why Stargate Atlantis will be canceled after the end of this season or next.

I've deliberately avoided it, because I absolutely LOVED the original series.

I know a lot of people get hung up on the dated effects, etc, but the whole point of shows like this is to suspend your disbelief, and just immerse yourself in it :popcorn:
