Got into Breaking Bad really late, finished it last month. El Camino was pony, but Better Call Saul is great.

Top 3 show of all time, best finale (and final stretch of episodes) ever, imo.

Yeah it’s definitely up there with some of the best shows I’ve seen, not sure what to watch next tbh.

Just downloaded the first season and just finished ep1.

Yeah seems like it should be decent.

John Humphrys is leaving Mastermind soon.

I'd give the job to Victoria Coren.

More importantly WandaVision is out tomorrow. Most anticipated show of all time arguably

Finally finally watch the end of Vikings last night......a really slack ending, like GOT's. As Ach says, it went on too long.

No I was fine with it.

Was it as good as the previous seasons, absolutely not because all the best characters were the originals Ragnar, Rollo, Lagartha, Floki .........as they were phased out, the seasons got worse.

Bjorn tried to carry it and did for a bit but the younger bro's I feel struggled to carry the show.

............ however, why I'm happy with it is because the way the show pettered out is a great reflection of the life cycle of the Viking era ........ simply put, the Viking era effected so many regions from Russia to Greenland, a lot of Europe.

But in the end the Viking era simply faded out and it was cool to see those last days where the raging warriors of the Norse were becoming a memory and Christianity began making them softer as a society, the legendary warriors like Lagartha and Ragnar were dying out and those that were replacing them weren't of the same level, not as true Pagan.

The vikings truly were the last barbarians pagans of Europe, they had been pagans longer than any of their Germanic cousins.
Rome started it by converting France and Britain and most of Europe, then the Franks took over the conversion and turned the pagans of Germany to Christianity, Scandanavia was the last of the Mohicans so to speak.

........... in fact the only reason why the Vikings were so successful is because the rest of Europe had become soft and civilised and the Norwegians, Danes and Swedes were still Germanic warriors.
If Britain was still full of Celtic warriors the Vikings wouldn't of found such helpless settlements.
