My girlfriend updated her grandparents recently and the same happened there. I'll ask her about it later but she's at work and I'm off to the pub soon. It was her brother who was telling me about it so I dunno if she sorted it.

Apparently the main purpose of the changes are to make Channel 5 available to many people who couldn't get it before but one drawback of this is that some viewers will no longer get ITV3 or ITV4 on freeview.

Come to think of it,I remember one time I re-tuned my box a few months back and I lost channel 5 for aaaaages and I could get it back for weeks and eventually got it back after numerous re-tunes.

Why would anyone want channel 5? I can't think of anything that I've seen on that channel for a long time...

Perhaps it's more a case of Channel 5 wanting their commercials to be available to as many people as possible.
