mate just emailed me this. I bet Libs and SE13 will be watching like me.
Their film "take it or leave it" is fcuking awesome about the beginnings of the Nutty Boys and i think very underated film.
News just in that BBC4 will be turning it’s Friday 2nd October evening schedule over to Madness with a range of Madness related programming, including the TV premiere of the film of “The Liberty Of Norton Folgate” as directed by the legendary Julien Temple - along with a re-run of the bands momentous Glastonbury gig and a long overdue airing of “Take It Or Leave It” - so set the Sky+, DVD recorder, VHS recorder (if you still have one) or whatever else you use to record from the tellybox - sit back and enjoy!!
Full schedule per the Radio Times as follows:
9.00 pm - Madness at Glastonbury (hopefully the full show)
10.00pm - Young Guns Go For It
10.40pm - 11.45pm The Liberty Of Norton Folgate - Julien Temple’s Film of Madness performing their album at the Hackney Empire, using a music-hall style to tell stories from London’s musical sevelopment through the years.
12.35am Madness - Take It Or Leave It. DO NOT MISS THIS FILM
Although it would appear from the above that the film of “The Liberty Of Norton Folgate” is 2 hours long, it is apparently only 1 hour 5 mins - with the gap being filled by a programme called “Spiral” which at the time of going to press we are not sure whether it’s Madness related or not.
