Does anyone know what this movie is rated? Or better yet, if it is appropriate for an 8 y/o? I would imagine that it is, since its Batman afterall. Might take the little one tonight.

well i saw it last night and its better than all the hype i can't remember the last time i watched a film and thought it was better than everything i had seen about it.

The best film i have seen in ages and its not like the other batman movies at all its more like a normal film than a comic book film.

And its a 12a here god knows what that means in America

 I have no clue what 12a means. I'm assuming it would be equivalent to PG-13 here.

I've not seen the dark knight yet, but I'm watching American Psycho at the moment. If anyone hasn't seen it, highly recommended.

The point is though, Christian Bale is such a good actor. I mean, seriously underrated.

Right saw it at the imax, fuckig blown away! Literally...well not literally but what a bloody film.

I think Bale was better than Ledger who I didn't actually think was as good as everyone has said he was.

Overall I thought that this was a good version of the Batman story, with the mian character being suitably dark as per teh comics. Heath Ledger was superb as the Joker, real top class performance.

Few minor quibbles, notably the crime boss who was thrown from a fire escape and broke his legs was walking around fine a few scenes later, although the timeline of the film isn't clear it does feel as if it is all pretty fast paced.

Also, I did think it was a little too long.

Despite this I would give it a good 8 out of 10.

For me American Psycho is still Bales best film.

Just watched it with my colleagues. What a brilliant film. They dared to make it 2.5 hours long, even added in a sequence with the prisoner's dilemna. That was pretty darn courageous for a comic book adaptation. Awesome!!!
