The fact Spider Verse is the only superhero movie to win an Oscar says it all.

Infinity War is a good superhero movie

Slider Verse is an amazing movie that transcends the genre

I think Spider Verse is the genre honestly. It’s a literal translation of a comic book to screen. Which is amazing. Even the texture of it. I can’t take anything away at all from the movie.

But, I didn’t have the emotional attachment to it.

I think it's more human than almost any Superhero film tbh and definitely the most accessible.

Of course you're not going to have the same emotional attachment: Spider-Verse is a standalone film, Inifnity War had been building for a decade.

It's the culmination of all the Marvel movies and for someone who is a huge fan that obviously means a lot.

That’s always been the goal of Spider-Man in the comics as well. He has powers, but is very human. In big event arcs, either Parker or Morales become the reader basically. We see things through them, and we see how insane they think things are at the moment. They also bring a lot of heart. So it was very cool they captured it.

That’s also why I personally disliked Civil War. It was much bigger, more important in the comics. And Spider-Man has a huge role, and was a big turning point. Plus he has a great speech in it.

Can someone help a guy out and list all the Marvel movies i need to see beforehand to have a good grasp of what's going on story-wise?

Just finished watching Infinity War. I ended up seeing most of the movies. Most are kind of shallow and predictable but over time the whole franchise grew on me and i started enjoying them more.

Iron Man - Great

Iron Man 2 - Good but only cause Robert Downey Jr

The Incredible Hulk - Skipped

Thor - Shit

Captain America: The First Avenger - Skipped (i might go back and watch it)

Marvel's The Avengers - Ahhh, i feel like most people like this movie but i didn't care much for it

Iron Man 3 - Carried from mediocre to kinda good by Robert Downey Jr

Thor: The Dark World - Literal shit, i had to watch a recap to even remember what it is

Guardians of the Galaxy - Good to Great

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 - Mediocre to Good

Captain America: The Winter Soldier - Kinda good

Avengers: Age of Ultron - Shit to mediocre

Ant-Man - skipped
---------------------------------------------------------- This is where the whole franchise really started growing on me
Doctor Strange - Great

Captain America: Civil War - Great

Black Panther - Skipped because i watched parts of it before so i felt i knew all the lore necessary to proceed

Spider-Man: Homecoming - GOAT Marvel movie, completely took me off guard, i wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was

Thor: Ragnarok - Good to Great

Avengers: Infinity War - Great

The plots are mostly trash full of overused tropes (with a few exceptions) but the special effects and all star cast make up for it. All in all, the movies aren't groundbreaking but they're entertaining and that's their purpose.

Shazam is definitely worth the watch. I thought it was better than Captain Marvel.

The Fugitive

Love this movie.

Up there with the best thrillers of the 90s, which was a prolific genre during that era.

Tommy Lee Jones is awesome as the US Marshall and Harrison Ford is suave as always.

My excitement is peak.

I've just seen the reviews on Rotten Tomato, 98% score with a majority of scores like 5/5, 10/10, 8.5/10 almost universally.

The review I just read literally said whatever you thought ....... its better, best movie in the MCU and one of the best films of all time.

Everything I've read so far is saying the Russo's have done it, they've cracked the best Marvel / Comic book movie that's ever been made.

Ffs Friday needs to just get the fk here now!!!

It'll be disappointing if Endgame doesn't break Avatar's box office record.
