I have to confess I’m not a huge superhero film fan. People seem surprised at that, I don’t know why. I’ve not seen any of the Avengers films or any of those films at all. I hear they’re very good, but I’m quite happy just hearing they’re very good.

Bale talking about not being a superhero movie fan? :shifty:

 Damn straight.

Bale mentioned it on a podcast on Stitcher, starting from ~37:50.

Cheers!

Hot take for Angelito

Blue Velvet is better than Mulholland Drive.

What say you?

Blue Velvet, for me, is the greatest mystery movie ever made. Yeah, it's more than that. Just to categorize it, I'd put it in the that drawer.

Mulholland Drive, for me, is the greatest movie of the 21st century. :P

So, this is a tough call. Mulholland Drive is difficult to decipher as it's not clear cut. Blue Velvet is relatively straightforward for a David Lynch affair. I can understand why you'd say Blue Velvet is better. But I wouldn't pass on the intoxication that Mulholland Drive is. It's hypnotic. Cinema at its finest. Mind you, by cinema, I'm talking about the amalgamation of visuals, sound, and drama.

Just got out of Endgame. 10/10

I thought the fanboys in this thread were just being fanboys and it would be like infinity war, but they actually managed to raise the bar.

If ever a human creation encapsulated the word 'Epic', it would be Avengers: Endgame

Endgame was 10 times better the 2nd time. So much more emotional and let me tell ya Show the spoiler
Thor had me laughing the whole time.

Oh yes, it's right up there with The Godfather and Shawshank Redemption ;)

Yeah its brilliant, still can't fathom how they got such a big movie so right with so many moving pieces, they out did themselves this time round.

Thor has been great since Ragnorok, the bit in the GOTG spaceship at the end with Quil arguing over who's in charge, the way Thor gave him that look at the end was genius.

Best cinematic event I've ever seen.

Thor has been comedy gold since Ragnarok, he had flashes of funny before that but on a different level since. That’s it, you’re like you said,Btw Have you seen the Spiderman Far From Home trailer? Careful.. Endgame spoilers!
. Also, totally buy Into the Spider-verse, you’ll love it.

Emotional appeal. I felt for each character. I understood where they came from and took the ride with them.
The fights...need I say more on this?...

Show the spoiler
Cap's hail hydra
Cap picking up the hammer
Professor hulk
The comic geek in me was having a wet dream
5th. The set up for the future. With the death of Tony, do we get iron heart? Kid Avengers? The new avengers led by Black Panther?

And

I need Endgame to beat Avatar because otherwise i don’t know what’s gonna beat that movie  :)

You mean the thing that’s been in a few comics and a big event? The thing that proves how pure and worthy he is as a man?
