Top gun maverick

Not as good as the first but very good

Was never a top gun fan growing up. Watched it once as a kid. Found it boring. Seen it couple of times past few years. A masterpiece.

Didn't go watch this one in cinema but it's on paramount plus.

Seeing Val Kilmer like that, heartbreaking. And then iceman passing away. Not a dry eye in the room. Granted it's only me but still.

The rest was predictable but enjoyable

Went and saw Antman Quantumainia yesterday ............

Mehhhh......

Marvel seem to be struggling to me, the new guys aren't making the films as well as phase 1, 2 & 3.

Tbf since Endgame I've really enjoyed, Loki, WandaVision, No Way Home, Dr Strange Multiverse of Madness and a couple of others, but there's been a lot of trash inbetween and I'm not confident in the way Marvel are moving phase 4/5 forward, I think its really missing the Avengers and it seems to me they're trying to skip the cost of Avengers movies because there doesn't even seem to be an Avengers right now, also needs more story work and not just reliance on gimmicks and special effects.

I give Ant-Man a 6/10

. Quantumania wasn't meh I enjoyed it better than Eternals and Thor love and thunder. My opinion is marvel is doing too much. The shows and then you have to watch the shows to understand certain parts of the movies. We need a break from this to get excited to see the movies

Brilliant "Making of" documentary about the making of Superman III from the time of the original production

Loads of behind the scenes footage and interviews, and if you're a Londoner there's an extra special nugget in there near the beginning.

Great film. RIP Christopher Reeve, Richard Pryor, Robert Vaughn, and so many of the others now gone :hail:

That's not a high bar on those two movies, I half enjoyed Quantumania, like I said 6/10 possibly stretch to a 7/10 but def no more.

Marvel could be / should be doing better, I liked the story of Vandyne's mother with Kang linking to the first Ant-man, some other bits were good but I do find Marvel gets a bit iffy whenever they have aliens in it, they make them too clownish, I think they should copy Starwars aliens a bit more, less daft.

I mean the jelly guy with the holes thing? or Chewbacca? I know which one is better ........I just think Marvel should needs to tighten up on some of their stuff.

Kang is actually one of the best villains ever, a man / scientist from the future who develops the ability to time travel.

An enemy who knows the future is practically unbeatable and that's what makes him a compelling character, a normal man who is as powerful as a god simply because of the ability to know everything that happens before it happens.
He can get technology from even further in the future from when he's from and bring it back in time giving him a technological advantage over everyone else.

He's supposed to be related to Reed Richards in the comics (future family).

His main problem and its the one unfolding in the MCU is that because of the multiverse which has now been opened a few times, every Kang in every multiverse who has also learned how to time travel meaning they're fkin up time and space by all doing their own damage to the timelines they're from and they're now converging.

Every Kang thinks he's in the right or believes in his own mission, some are bad, some not as bad as others, its the Kang the Conqueror ones which are the most dangerous.

I’m with you tbf. I meant to say ..Quantumania was Meh not it was wasn’t meh..typo  No, the problem with the Multiverse Saga has been:
a) It feels like it's trying too hard to immediately out scale The Infinity Saga.
b) There's been too much MCU in a short amount of time.
c) The quality we associate Marvel with simply isn't there anymore. The other problem is multiverse saga is that there is no consequences. These movies and shows should be building off each other and leading towards Kang dynasty/secret wars but it just don’t feel like that. MOM, NWH, WV and etched no real effects towards each events. As Well as They got fantastic 4 coming out a few months before kang dynasty and secret wars and they not even introducing Doom in that apparently so idk what they cooking with that and the fact that secret wars is finna be a cameo and nostalgia fest for the 2000s marvel characters is just..you would how they somehow do a big 180 turn because It's commonly known that the beyonder is the main Villain in Secret Wars Comic.

Also find a way to get Doctor Doom in this…Dr. Doom Steals the Power of him and became God Emperor Doom in the comics.

My theory is Kang is gonna be the main villain here but he Steals Beyonders Power like what Doom did in the comics. But would prefer Doom the be the big villain!!!

Watched the Mario movie. Brilliant. Big fan of the Mario kart games and glad they put that in.

But time for the main event of the year. Guardians of the galaxy 3. Tickets booked for tomorrow night. Seen no trailer. Know nothing about it.

I've enjoyed the marvel stuff since endgame but it's been of lower quality. This hopefully brings it back to the level where marvel single handedly saved Hollywood and films
