In a sense.

I admire their dedication and work ethic but the end result is aesthetically unappealing imo.

I much prefer the natural muscle/shredded look.

Bodybuilding is as real as WWE (i.e., fake).

I see bodybuilders at my gym doing quarter squats (ass-to-grass squats or it's a pussy rep tbh), bouncing the bar for deadlift, and doing halfass bench presses (not touching the bar to chest and getting as close to fully extending on the way up without locking their elbows). And not to mention wearing belts and using straps. If you can't move the weight naturally without assistance, then it's cheating and shouldn't count imo. Then there's the prevalent use of steroids in the bb community.

Without trying to sound like a gatekeeper, natty lifting while using proper form is the highest art form tbh

I saw it on Saturday with my wife.

It's a very good film. The on screen chemistry between Cooper and Gaga is really believable. Great music too.

We went to the pub afterwards, and I'm glad we did. I needed a drink. Emotionally draining. But if you can come away from a film having had it affect you in some way, it has worked.

Yep! I never expected lady Gaga to be that good.

Honestly don’t mind the song to the film aswell! Might make a push for the Christmas number 1.

I’ve never been to a film before where the entire audience has sat in silence just as the end credits start rolling through. No one moved.

Bradley Cooper put a lot of time and effort into the preparation for the film too. He worked with Lukas Nelson and his band (who are the actual band in the film) for two years to get an idea of what happens in the music business - particularly on tour. He also took singing lessons for 18 months, and worked with a voice coach to train his voice to be able to get down as gravelly as it was in the film.

The on-stage parts in the film were all shot live in front of real crowds - one of which was at Glastonbury a couple of years back.

I watched a couple of days ago Creed 2 in the cinema and I must say I'm pretty disappointed. The film is ok if you have never seen Rocky before, but if you have, then you will be disappointed because it is literally a total copy of Rocky 4, the part where Rocky fights against the Russian Ivan Drago.
