Some few really don't deserve the top spot

Agreed.

Some really obvious ones there too, has to make you wonder how scoring works.

It's a shame Matrix came out the same year as Fight Club, noway should Inception get some kind of accolade ahead of Matrix.

I didn't know this existed! I can't wait to read it all when I have more time. So, very difficult for me to pick. After top 5 it gets a bit muddied but:

Star Wars Empire Strikes Back
Manhattan
Rear Window
Up
Deep Red
Hitch
Jingle All the Way
Matrix Reloaded
Red Beard
Porco Rosso

Edited because cell is stupid.

It's funny because throughout the years I've gone back and fourth between Star Wars and The Hidden Fortress. I feel as though I can't have both. But Empire is just such a fantastical film, I love it.

In the Mood for Love by Wong Kar-Wei is my best movie, dripping romanticism. Liking watching Arsenal when they're on a going day eg ManU.

Inception is the best film of the last 10 years IMO

Inception is better than Matrix. That's not really hard either.

Coming up on an web list is hardly an accolade.

Especially on IMDB, especially when you're named Chris Nolan.

Matrix teleported film into the 21st century.

Pulp Fiction >>>> Shawshank
I'd put Boogie nights, Good Will Hunting or LA Confidential above La vita e bella
Big Lebowski and American History X >>>> saving private ryan
American Beauty > Fight Club (1999 best year in film history though, so understandable)
Collateral > ESOTSM
Oldeuboi > BB
No country for old men (and so many others) > into the wild
Moon > Inglorious bastards
Drive > Intouchables

lots that I missed but couldn't immediately find better movies and don't want to keep doing this the whole night
