Most of these films aren't that impressive to me tbh.

@Cripps, why didn't you vote on ROTK vs NCFOM?

I have no idea how Chicago and Argo won Best Pictures. I never liked Chicago. It was Hollywood's basic fetishization of musicals. Argo lel. Like Pud, I haven't watched Moonlight and didn't like Argo, so I'd also rather abstain.

I agree the list is subpar, save for a few movies.

After seeing Inglorious Basterds lose out to Fellowship it pains me to see ROTK losing to No Country.

What is wrong with you people

No country is a good film. But come on. Only reason anyone would choose that over ROTK is if they haven't seen ROTK.

And you must question anyone's knowledge on films of they haven't seen it

It's 3-3.

ROTK is the weakest film in the trilogy.

It's the best imo

Close with TT

FOTR was the weakest.

It's weird, I used to think that, but now as time passes I think it might be the best overall.

Two Towers is definitely the best in terms of battles, so I could agree with that.

I always felt they tried to cram too much into the ROTK. It jumps around to too many different storylines and seems unfocused.

Apparently this will be a blasphemous view, but I've never really liked the LOTR movies—not saying they're bad movies because they're pretty good. It's a little like Star Wars; the hype isn't justified imo. I enjoyed the books a lot, though.
