All very selective and subjective. Two big reasons not to take it too seriously and feel hard done by when movie/actor/actress X and Y aren't winners, or even nominated.

Just yesterday told my mates that Leo doesn't deserve the darn thing for this turd piece called revenant but he'll win it - no matter what.

Which is really sad - he didn't win it for MUCH MUCH better parts and yet he won it for this shit.
